Recently I was asked by Marie Claire magazine to share some of the benefits of chair yoga, who it’s good for, and some great moves. This is the best way to create accessible yoga for people who struggle to get up and down from the floor.
But, anyone who spends several hours a day sitting (desk workers, drivers, the list goes on!) can use chair yoga practices . Especially if you find yourself suffering from a stiff neck, tense shoulders and aches, you can do something truly proactive to look after your long-term wellbeing.
Hint: Yoga in a chair is a great way to stay flexible and even find some calm in a hectic day for people of all ages.
