About Monique
With over two decades of practice and thousands of hours teaching real people — not ideal bodies — I’ve learned how to guide safely, kindly, and intelligently through the realities of midlife.

Many of the women I work with are active, capable, and busy — juggling work, family, and caring for others — while quietly worrying about aches, anxiety, or losing confidence in their movement.
I’m Monique. I found yoga at a time when I felt frazzled, stretched thin, and disconnected from myself.
What began as a way to cope became a lifelong practice that’s helped me navigate motherhood, work, and the changing demands of my body — without pushing or pretending nothing was changing.
My teaching is not one-size-fits-all.
I combine yoga, modern movement science, and functional breathwork to help women move with confidence — especially when they’re afraid of hurting themselves or “getting it wrong.”
My classes are warm, welcoming, and inclusive — a place where you’re not the only one over 40, not expected to push, and never treated as fragile left sitting on the side.

I bring over 20 years of teaching experience and two decades of personal practice into every class — working with real bodies, real lives, and real limitations.
I’m a certified yoga teacher (teaching since 2005), an Oxygen Advantage Advanced Breathwork Instructor, and a Breath.Body.Mind™ Level 2 Teacher. I also mentor yoga teachers who want to build sustainable, long-term careers. I currently serve as a mentor on the Heart and Bones YTT, run trainings on the business of yoga, and speak at industry events.
